All the staff at Audley Ellerslie, regardless of their usual role, stepped in to help our owners in various capacities during lockdown, from shopping to car washing, to help keep everyone safe and happy.
We'd like to share some of the events and activities, acts of kindness and community spirit our owners experienced at Audley Ellerslie during these recent difficult times.
The village pantry
An on-site shop for basic goods and toiletries delivered straight to owners’ doors.
Farmers market
A weekly pop-up market with delicious fresh breads, savoury pastries and sweet treats too, all baked by the Ellerslie kitchen team.
Food delivery
With the bar, bistro and restaurant closed, our chefs prepared hot food for delivery to owners’ apartments seven days a week.
Mobile bar
Owners were kept refreshed with their favourite tipple in the sun with a Pimm’s and cocktail mobile bar.
Shopping service
The team offered a Waitrose shopping service for essentials and a vital prescription collection for those that needed it.

The village team also tried to continue with as many social events as possible to ensure everyone felt engaged and well connected.
Coffee mornings and clubs
We hosted our first ever virtual coffee morning on Zoom, which has since become a weekly event. Book Club and Bridge Club also continued virtually so owners could still enjoy their hobbies whilst catching up with their Audley friends and neighbours.
New owners
Virtual events were also a great way of welcoming our two new owners to the village during lockdown. We worked closely with Bishop's Move who were able to carry out the necessary risk assessments and put procedures in place to be able to move owners in safely.
We can't thank all our staff enough for their hard work and dedication during this time and for their ongoing efforts. Take a look at other initiatives we've put in place in order to be 'together at home' during lockdown.
