The Audley Foundation Fundraising

Founded in 2020 by the Audley Group Ltd, The Audley Foundation was set up to improve the lives of older people, particularly the lonely and less fortunate members of society. In 2024 we focussed our fundraising support on The Care Workers’ Charity and the establishment of Chatty Benches. Other monies were shared with other organisations in line with the Foundation’s mission. Audley homeowners are encouraged to support The Audley Foundation, volunteering to support events in villages across the country.

As Audley owners, we are in a position of privilege and this is a golden opportunity to help other, less fortunate people. You will have the chance to make a real contribution to your local community as The Foundation's work grows, and you may even enjoy taking part as much as I do!

We’re thrilled to announce that our 2024 Foundation Dinner raised over £21,000!

Over 80 guests joined us at Audley Nightingale Place on Wednesday 9th  October to support the Foundation and The Care Workers’ Charity. We are extremely grateful to those who joined us for a second year of fundraising and those who sponsored the event, your support makes a real difference.

We would like to express our gratitude to Eversheds Sutherland, whose donation supported the organisation and administration of our 2024 Foundation Dinner, Entegra for generously sponsoring the food and drink for the evening and Audley Villages Nightingale Place for their fantastic hospitality.

On Sunday 15th September Jessica Lambert, Academy Partner at Audley Group took on the 55-mile cycle from London to Brighton and raised just over £750 for the Audley Foundation.

Before the cycle, Jess commented: “This challenge is an opportunity for me to step out of my comfort zone and push my limits. While I have never cycled more than 25 miles before, I am determined to complete the 55-mile ride in 5.5 hours. The event’s partner charities, MIND and the Alzheimer’s Society, hold significant importance to me.”

Jess not only completed the 55-mile journey but also finished the cycle in 4 hours 42 minutes beating the goal she had set out to achieve.

An amazing personal achievement, thank you Jessica and friends for your extremely generous donations.

The Audley Foundation recently received an update from Guide Dogs, a charity that was chosen by the owners and team at Audley Binswood to receive a donation as a result of their fundraising efforts.

Meghan from the charity told us: “We very much appreciate the generous support of the Audley Foundation which is making a real difference to the lives of vision-impaired people. We are delighted to share this short report showing the impact of your generous gift.

Thanks to support like yours, in 2024 we have already matched and partnered 216 guide dog partnerships allowing individuals to be as mobile and independent as possible. Even though we are now making good progress to return our guide dog service back to where we were pre-pandemic, we have much more to do. With high demand for our services and an increase in our fixed costs, we are very grateful for your support which helps to ensure that anyone with sight loss can live actively, independently, and well.”

You can read the full report from Guide Dogs here.

“With my cane I was so slow getting around and I had near misses with cars and many falls and injuries. I was anxious and my family were worried about my safety. It wasn’t just getting around that was affecting me, I was stressed and anxious. Having Lassie has given me my independence back and the chance to chase my dreams.”

14 June 2024

Last month hundreds of team members, property owners, and friends and family from Audley Villages and Mayfield Villages took on challenges up and down the country to fundraise £14,552 for The Foundation during Foundation Week which ran from 11th to 19th May 2024.

Cliff Hasler, General Manager at Audley Fairmile took the plunge and skydived from 15,000ft, and nearly 100 team members enjoyed a lap round the beautiful Blenheim Palace grounds at the Blenheim Palace 7k.

The week saw villages take part in sponsored walks, mud runs, car washes, bake offs, quiz nights, mufti days and various other fitness challenges.

John Nettleton, Trustee & Chair of The Audley Foundation commented:

“It’s great to see owners and our Audley team get so involved with Foundation Week, raising money for a brilliant cause, and even taking a leap from a plane. 2023 was a hugely successful year, which saw the Foundation support 29 charities and I am confident we will surpass this with all the fundraising efforts in 2024. I am blown away by the sheer support and effort from all the teams and look forward to putting the money raised towards the fantastic causes The Audley Foundation supports.”

A big thank you to all owners and staff that took part. The funds raised will be donated to charities chosen by Audley Owners, and that support older, lonely, and less fortunate members of society.
